Since establishing Zeitgeist Artist Management, LTD, in 1999, owner and founder Jordan Kurland has provided innovative recording artists with the resources necessary to cultivate a long and fruitful career. Since beginning his work in the music industry with Figurehead Management, he has offered management expertise and an understanding of the evolving nature of the music business to artists like Primus, Death Cab for Cutie, and She & Him. Specializing in representing independent acts, like the New Pornographers and The Postal Service, Jordan Kurland and the team at Zeitgeist have assisted professional musicians in meeting their goals without compromising artistic values or creative expression.

Alongside his work at Zeitgeist, Jordan Kurland has made a notable impact on the music festival circuit. As a longtime partner in one of the country’s preeminent festivals, Noise Pop, he has assisted in introducing major groups like The Flaming Lips and The White Stripes while creating a musical institution. More recently, Jordan Kurland joined with Noise Pop and Another Planet to start Treasure Island Music Festival, a San Francisco event that earned Pollstar’s Music Festival of the Year award in 2012.

In addition to his career, Jordan Kurland has been a dedicated activist for progressive causes and charitable efforts. A member of the Entertainment Advisory Committee for President Obama’s 2012 campaign, he also worked with Dave Eggers to create 90 Days, 90 Reasons, a website featuring celebrities, politicians, and other public figures advocating for Obama’s reelection. Jordan Kurland additionally serves as a board member for several philanthropic causes, including Air Traffic Control, which facilitates social action by the music industry, and 826 National, a nonprofit that operates tutoring and writing centers for underserved youth.
